Santa Run 2014 - The best event of the year is approaching!

Is it possible to turn a few people's dream into the coolest and most eagerly awaited event of the city? Is it possible to change someone's life with just a little contribution? Is it possible to fill a city with happy faces and to spread the message of love, feast and solidarity?
The Chania Santa Run started three years ago. A small group of people decided to organise a parade for Santa Clauses. Their aim was to support four of the city's associations that help children with health problems. In the meantime, it has become the happiest and much discussed event of the city, while contributions skyrocket from year to year.
The concept is simple: while other cities around the world organise themed races at Christmas, with people dressed as Santa Clauses, the Chania "run" is a long stroll, where everybody wins. Thousands of red hats march around the city's streets and the big feast begins.
Dressed at its' best festive decorations, the city is filled with dance, music, laughter and lots of joy. Along the way, Santa Clauses make little stops for refreshments and "supplies", since many local businesses participate in the event and offer treats to passers-by. Theevent ends with a huge party and the fun continues until the next morning.
This year, KYDON Hotel supports the 2014 Santa Run as a sponsor and invites everyoneto this unique Christmas festival. You can contact the Hotel and pick up your Santacostume from there (Phone number +30 28210 52280). All proceeds will be donated to four local associations helping children with health problems. KYDON Hotel invites you to take part in this "race" of love and to make a difference to the life of a fellow human being.
Finally, let us not forget that this Santa Run's greatest challenge is to increase people's participation and to become the most discussed event, not only in Crete but in the entire country! So, submit your participation form, grab your red hat and take part in the craziest, most fun winter parade! Santa Claus is coming to Chania. on December 27th 2014!
